Generate work in partnership with Wandsworth Council to meet the social needs of young people with a learning disability between the ages of 11 and 25.

Youth Clubs

Youth Scheme participantsGenerate run youth clubs four nights a week for young people with a learning disability enabling them to socialise with a peer group away from school and home.  These are lively clubs offering a range of activity and learning opportunities with emphasis being on fun and enjoyment.

During the Easter and Summer holidays we also collaborate to offer a range of day time activities and outings.

Connexions Buddy Scheme

This important project offers 1:1 support for young people with a disability, people in transition (age 14 to 21).  People are supported through a short term intervention of up to 12 weeks to articulate or communicate their goals and dreams and to take steps to make them a reality. At the end of the period they are settled in a new activity and/or signposted to further places, people or organisations where they can find future support.  The main aims of our workers are to support choices, give a sense of control and independence and increase confidence and self-esteem.
